This organ has a lot of "British" characteristics in the disposition and the construction.

The organ was originally build for the Chapel of St. Albert the Great's Priory in Hong Kong. It was inaugurated on November 24, 1935 and costed 30.000 $. Under the coordination of Br Gregorio Hontomin, OP, the organ was transferred to Santo Domingo and inaugurated on June 9, 1959.

The organ has been reconstructed and augmented by Diega Cera Organ Builders in 2011 - 2012.

Digital extensions will (hopefully temporarily) augment the existing pipework.
